Synopsis

In “Teamwork Tails: How Hiro Discovered His Inner Strength and Emotions,” the second volume of the beloved “Teamwork Tails” series, join Hiro, the curious and playful Yorkshire Terrier, as he embarks on a journey of self-discovery with his human friend Emily and their new companions. This enchanting and educational book delves into the essential aspects of emotional intelligence (EQi) and self-perception, providing young readers with the tools they need to understand and regulate their emotions from an early age.

Through engaging and relatable stories, children will learn about:

  • Self-Regard: Understanding and valuing their unique qualities.
  • Self-Actualization: Setting and achieving personal goals and striving to reach their full potential.
  • Emotional Self-Awareness: Recognizing and understanding their own emotions and learning how to manage them effectively.

Each chapter of the book is designed to be both entertaining and educational, incorporating practical lessons and reflection questions that encourage thoughtful discussion and deeper understanding. Hiro’s adventures teach children how to identify their emotions, understand their feelings, and develop strategies to regulate their emotions in healthy ways.
As an EQi certified coach with extensive experience working with hundreds of clients, one common piece of feedback I often hear is the wish that they had learned about emotional intelligence when they were younger. This book aims to fill that gap by introducing the concepts of EQi to children in a fun and accessible way, helping them build a strong foundation for emotional health and well-being.
“Teamwork Tails: How Hiro Discovered His Inner Strength and Emotions” is more than just a story—it’s a valuable resource for parents and educators looking to equip children with the skills they need to navigate their emotions and develop a positive self-image. Join Hiro and his friends on this heartwarming journey and help your child discover their inner strength and emotional intelligence!“Teamwork Tails: How Hiro Discovered His Inner Strength and Emotions” is ideally suited for children aged 6 to 10 years old. This age range is perfect for introducing concepts of emotional intelligence and self-perception in a fun and engaging way that is accessible to young readers.

  • I have to admit, I wasn’t sure if this book would really teach me anything new. As a young Black male, I’ve read my fair share of books on diversity and inclusion, and many of them felt like the same old, same old. But this book was a pleasant surprise!

Kyle’s approach is refreshingly practical and relatable. He doesn’t just throw around buzzwords or give generic advice. Instead, he dives deep into real-world scenarios and offers concrete strategies that actually make sense in today’s workplace. The way he breaks down complex concepts into digestible, actionable steps really hit home for me.

One thing that stood out was how he addressed the struggles that Black males often face in expressing their feelings and navigating corporate environments. Kyle’s insights gave me new tools to articulate my experiences and advocate for myself in ways I hadn’t considered before.

This book isn’t just another addition to the diversity and inclusion bookshelf. It’s a guide that can genuinely help young Black professionals feel seen and heard. Whether you’re just starting your career or looking to advance, I highly recommend giving this a read. Kyle’s wisdom and experience shine through every page, making it a valuable resource for anyone committed to fostering authentic inclusion.

    Definitely worth five stars!

  • This book is what I would call a necessary handbook for the leader (or developing leader) who doesn’t have enough time to get into the nitty gritty of DEIB. I recommend that you grab this, keep it by your side. It’s an easy read and will open the gateway to DEIB for leaders.
